Do you want to make a difference for Sweden's construction and civil engineering companies? We are now looking for an engaged industry manager who wants to strengthen our members' and the industry's conditions and contribute to our common goal of sustainable community building of world-class.
About the job
At Byggföretagen, we work to improve the conditions for our member companies and the construction and civil engineering industry as a whole. Byggföretagen's core activities include advocacy and opinion formation, contract negotiation, as well as support, advice, and member care.
As an industry manager, you will primarily support colleagues and member companies in issues related to the industry's development in the northern region. The role involves close dialogue with the business community, authorities, municipalities, politicians, and other decision-makers. You will collaborate broadly, both internally and externally, and be responsible for planning and conducting information meetings, lectures, and various activities for our member companies.
You will work on our and our members' prioritized issues to make the construction and civil engineering industry more attractive, healthy, and safe. This includes, among other things, fair competition, the green transition, gender equality and diversity, preparedness, and safe workplaces.
The role also means that you are an important support in the regional advocacy work and contribute to creating good business conditions for our members – all within the framework of our goal of sustainable community building in close dialogue with the companies.
You will be part of a regional team of 14 people, and as a new employee, you will receive thorough training to gradually feel ready to take on the role independently.
Your profile
We see that you have experience from the business community, preferably in the construction sector, and of leading and organizing groups, meetings, and activities. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the community building sector and business policy. To succeed in the role, it is important that you have a structured working method, can express yourself easily in speech and writing, and are good at building networks and maintaining good relationships.
We highly value personal qualities and previous assignments, as well as a relevant education in, for example, community building, communication, or political science.
As a future employee, it is also important that you can identify with the organization's values of joy, engagement, and professionalism. Please read more about our culture and values here.
We offer
We apply trust-based working hours, offer wellness grants, reduced working hours, health insurance, and group insurance. We have a remote work policy that allows you to work remotely to some extent in agreement with your manager.
The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period, and in other matters, the employment agreement between Byggföretagen and Ledarna, Sveriges Ingenjörer, Unionen applies.
Your application
Does this sound like the job for you? Then send your application to us by March 1, 2026. We work with ongoing selection, so the position may be filled before the application deadline. If you have questions regarding the position, you can contact regional manager Johan Hallberg at [email protected].
